Final Project Idea:
My final project idea is to create a short film featuring a teenage character who struggles with their identity and sexuality. This film will show the struggles that a questioning character has in high-school. I plan to use my friends and family in my film to demonstrate the many feelings that a growing teenager can have, especially when trying to figure out who they are as a person. I chose to use this idea because its something personal to me and its something that I'm very passionate about.
I want to include different stereotypes and show counter-stereotypes throughout the short film because I feel like it adds a more meaningful affect. Also, while the film seems very sad, I want to include a couple comedy snippets to lighten the mood. I want to show my editing skills through video elements like transitions and cool video effects.
I draw inspiration from A24, a film production company because of their interesting concepts and creative ways to represent stories.
