Blog Post #47: Compromises

In a film, you have to compromise. This is why I have to rearrange my schedule when filming my actants. So, instead of filming on one singular day, my schedule will consist of many different days. What I mean by this, is that I will film two days out of an entire week for the next week. While this may not seem productive, it is my compromise between my actants.

Many film companies use different scheduling methods. Usually, films have a "First Assistant Director" to maximize efficiency and budget. They also go by a schedule based on script and elements, location, availability, tools, and considerations of weather. A schedule that's structured well ensures that the production stays within the budget and gives the crew and planning down time.

My version of this will consist of:

1. Creating the schedule: I will film two days per week, which is one day in one location, and one day in another location.

2. Considerations of weather: If one of my scheduled days include unexpected bad weather, I will completely delete the clips from the day with bad weather and pick a different day to film.

3. Availability: If one of my locations are not available, I will figure out a way to change the location on such short notice.

I believe that my list goes over the factors well, and it expresses how I will plan out my filming and production process.
